The following people have announced they are running for the open Hennepin County Board of Commissioners District 6 seat: Dario Anselmo, Alicia Gibson, Carolyn Jackson, and Jen Westmoreland.
The Hennepin County Board of Commissioners District 6 represents a number of communities including Wayzata.
Hennepin County will hold a special primary on Tuesday, Apr. 30. A special election will be held on Tuesday, May 14.
The filing period for the special election begins Feb. 27.
This vacancy is the result of the resignation of Commissioner Chris LaTondresse whose last day on the board was September 21, 2023.
