Electric cars, bikes, scooters, yard equipment, and even boats, oh my! Join a special event Saturday, July 18 from noon to 2:30 p.m. at City Hall. (Be sure to catch a presentation at 12:30 p.m. to learn more about all things EV.) You’ll have the chance to drive electric vehicles from local dealerships and view and test all kinds of electric fun while enjoying refreshments. All are welcome

Revolutionary Flying Pancake Breakfast: Head to the Wayzata Depot Park from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to catch pancakes tossed from the griddle by the Lake Minnetonka Society of the Children of the American Revolution. Veterans and active-duty service members typically eat free, with a short patriotic program and flag-raising ceremony around 10:00 a.m.
Broadway Kiddie Parade: Beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the corner of Park Street and Broadway Avenue, children on decorated bikes and in patriotic costumes parade through town, led by a vintage Wayzata Fire Department truck.
Mini Olympics: Sponsored by the Wayzata Fire Department, these field games and races for kids take place at 12:30 p.m. at the Wayzata West Middle School football field. Events include running races, a softball throw, and penny hunting for younger children.
